Edward "Wayne" Fowler

Edward “Wayne” Fowler, 74, of Topeka passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. He was born May 16, 1942 in Perry, Kansas the son of Everett and Velma Grandstaff Fowler. He graduated from Perry High School in 1960. Wayne served his country in the United States Air Force Reserves during the Vietnam War. He was a Construction and Maintenance Supervisor for Kansas Gas Service for 39 years and retired in 2000. He was married to Yvonne Jackson on May 29, 1982, at Topeka.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Fowler of Topeka; daughter, Angela Jacobson (Thomas) of Lawrence, Kansas; grandchildren, Gabriel, Caitrin, Lydia, Locke Jacobson of Lawrence, Kansas; two great-grandchildren, Presley and Tristan of Lawrence; siblings, Phyllis Rice of Kansas City, KS, Dale Fowler (Judy) of Perry, Kansas, Doris Brown (Kenneth) of Topeka, Betty Dix of Kansas City, Kansas; mother-in-law, Pattie Bigley of Kansas City, Kansas; sister-in-laws, Lori Jackson (Andy), Amy Harrison (Jay), of Topeka, Debbie Tarwater (Gene) Meriden, and brother-in-law, John Jackson of Kansas City, Kansas; also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, JeriLee.
Mr. Fowler was cremated. A memorial graveside service will be held at Rochester Cemetery on Saturday, July 23rd at 10:00 am.
