Benjamin (Ben) Thomas Wiese died on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at his home in Tecumseh, KS.
He was born on April 15, 1988 in Topeka, KS. He was the son of David and Jan Wiese. He attended Cair Paravel-Latin School and Shawnee Heights High School. He graduated with honors from Washburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work.
He attended Topeka Bible Church and participated in mission trips to the Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Mexico. His hobbies included music, cooking, rock climbing, snowboarding, fly fishing and reading. Ben also enjoyed working with the handicapped and disabled. He will be remembered for his free spirit and unique sense of humor. Ben had a tender heart towards children, the elderly and his dogs. He loved spending time with his niece and nephews and his friends and his family. Ben was a loyal friend and a loving son and will be missed by all.
Ben is survived by his parents Dave and Jan of Topeka; his sister Annie, his brother Dan, his brother Brett and his wife Vikkie Wiese and their daughter and three sons.
His memorial service will be held on Friday, July 22nd at 11 a.m. with visitation 9:30-11:00 at Topeka Bible Church in Topeka, KS. Ben had a true love for education and a scholarship fund will be established to help pass this love of learning to others. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Topeka Bible Church for the Benjamin Thomas Wiese Memorial Fund.
