John Hicks

John Hicks of Topeka passed away on Wednesday morning July 6, 2016. He was born July 27, 1959 in Topeka the son of William L. and Karen F. Crawford Hicks. He attended Washburn Rural Schools with the class of 1978. John was a small engine mechanic by trade, working for John Deere, Dan’s Small Engine, NAPA, A&A Auto and Boettcher Supply. He was married on January 2, 2016 to Donna in Topeka.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Hicks of Topeka; mother, Karen Hicks of Topeka; brother, LeRoy Hicks and his wife Debbie of Berryton; sister-in-law, Marsha Hicks of Topeka; step-son, Brandon Acton of Fairmont, MN; grandson, Zayden Fast of Topeka; son, William Wesley Hicks and wife Savannah of Burdick, Kansas; daughter, Nicola Bell and husband Andy of Hoyt; grandchildren, Payton, Kaylea and Miranda; nieces and nephews, Chad and Angelia Hicks and their kids, Gabby and Carter, and Alica, Cody and wife Tayna Brienna and Brooke.
He was preceded in death by his father, William L. Hicks; brother, George Hicks; grandparents, William and Jessie Hicks and Joe and Laura Crawford.
