Dale L. Rogers

Dale L. Rogers, 79, of Topeka passed away after a brief illness on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. He was born October 31, 1936 at Thompsonville the son of Jewell and Iva “Opal” Rogers. Dale graduated from Perry High school in 1954. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 42 years before retiring. Along with his wife they co-owned, the Doll House in Topeka.
He was married to Melva Jean Rogers November 27, 1955 at Perry. Mrs. Rogers passed away on August 30, 2014.
Survivors include his son, Brett T. Rogers and wife Jan of Wade, NC; daughters, Candi Lou Rogers and Sheila Jean Denny both of Topeka; and granddaughters, Lana Jean Denny of Topeka, Amber Smith of Pittsburgh, PA; great-granddaughters, Mina Smith and Breanna Smith both of Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Rosalee Peron of Oskaloosa, brother-in-law, Buddy Pearson of Williamstown, Kansas and a sister-in-law, Mary Alice Rogers in Galveston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Gale Rogers and his brother, Lawrence Rogers
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Underwood Cemetery, Williamstown. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
