Joan Vogue

Joan R. Vogue, 89, of Topeka passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016. She was born February 18, 1927 at Talmadge, Nebraska the daughter of Alex and Clara Fiedler Walker. Joan moved to Topeka in 1944 and married Ralph M. Vogue on April 10, 1948 in Topeka. Ralph passed away on June 9, 2015. Mrs. Vogue is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. At the Church she was a member of a sewing group. Joan and her husband were longtime members of the Shawnee County German Shepherd Club. Mrs. Vogue worked for a number of years at the A.T.S.F. Railroad, before going to work for the Menninger Foundation. She worked for Menninger’s over 10 years.
She is survived by her son, Greg Vogue and wife Janell of Topeka; granddaughter, Katie Renna and husband Travis of Ozawkie; and grandson Tom Vogue of Topeka.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 24th at Trinity Lutheran Church at 8th & Buchanan. Interment will follow. Mrs. Vogue will lie in state from 10-5 on Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or to St. Croix Hospice.
