William J. Greeve, 74, of Topeka passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 at his home in Topeka. He was born January 13, 1942 at Waverly, Kansas the son of Frank and Ruth Yockey Greeve. Mr. Greeve worked for CTCR Traffic Control for nearly 25 years. He also worked for Cardinal Cleaning, Goodyear and had his own carpet cleaning business. Needless to say he was a tireless worker. Mr. Greeve served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps. While in the Marines he was a mechanic on amphibious landing craft (DUCS). He loved his family, especially his grandkids.
Survivors include his children, Daniel Hayes and his wife Lisa of Wiggins, Mississippi, William J. Greeve II (Joey) and his fiancé, Amanda of Topeka, and Mandi Greeve of Topeka; two brothers, Dale Greeve and wife Debbie and Richard Greeve; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his sister Mary and brother, Johnnie.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home on Saturday, June 18th.
