Betty Jean Dodder

Betty Dodder, age 82 of Topeka, passed away Thursday, June 09, 2016 at her home in Topeka. Betty was born November 12, 1933 in St. Joseph, Missouri the daughter of Robert VanHyning Sr. and Lela Neiman VanHyning. She graduated from Axtell High School in 1951. While in Topeka, Betty worked at Jostens. She married George R. Brandenburgh, they later divorced.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Crumpler May, 1987. She is survived by a son, Dennis (Pam) Brandenburgh of Topeka; two daughters, Vicki (Roger) Prince of Clayton, OK and Rhonda Bell of Topeka; a brother, Robert M. VanHyning Jr. of Topeka; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Meriden Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 pm on Monday evening at Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in care of Davidson Funeral Home.
