Burgin Dean Shenck

Burgin D. Shenck, age 81, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, May 03, 2016 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. Burgin was born July 14, 1934 in Pennsylvania the son of Clarence and Ruth Shenck. He served in the U.S. Air Force for over 22 years. He worked for Goodyear Tire in Topeka and later for the Topeka V.A. Hospital. He was a longtime member of the Seaman Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #400. He was united in marriage to Karen Epling March 11, 1962 in Topeka. He is survived by his wife Karen of over 54 years; a son, Dan Shenck of Topeka; two daughters, Kim (Bill) Busby of Surprise, AZ and Teresa (James Dittmer) Shenck of Topeka; a brother, Geary Shenck of Rochester, NY; a sister, Zona Landis of Harrisburg, PA; a grandson, Josh (Lee) Seidel; two granddaughters, Leighanna Shenck and Kristina (Tyler) Logan and a great grandson, Colton Logan.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 9, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. He will lie in state Sunday from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. with a visitation from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Circleville Cemetery.
