Earl Lee David, age 51, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Midland Hospice. Earl was born November 16, 1964 in Paola, Kansas the son of Wallace Bruce David Jr. and Shirley Fox David. He grew up in the Melvern area. He was a self employed mechanic. He was married to Dawn Frye David. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Ryan Frye of Topeka; four daughters, Kelli David, Cristen David, Jasmine David and Amanda Frye, all of Topeka; three brothers, Michael David, Bruce David and Steven Makepeace; four sisters, Patty David, Carolyn David, Loretta Makepeace and Julie Makepeace and five grandchildren.
Earl loved his family and friends. The would make sure they were taken care of before himself. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. Earl was self employed as a mechanic, which he started at the age of 14. He loved fishing, camping, tearing cars apart and putting them back together. He also loved computers and building them. Earl loved to BBQ and have family get togethers. He also loved doing yard work and working on lawn equipment. He will be missed by all.
Memorial gathering will be Saturday between 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at their home at 1110 NW 35th in Topeka. Donations can be made to the Earl Lee David Memorial Fund at any Kaw Valley Bank in Topeka.
