Yolanda Jean Marshall

Yolanda Jean Marshall, age 57, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at her daughters’ home in Topeka after a long illness. Yolanda was born June 17, 1958 in Minneola, Kansas the daughter of Gary Barrand and Edith Carrier Barrand. After graduation she attended Kaw Area Technical School in Topeka. She worked as a surveyor and draftsman for the City of Topeka. Yolanda had attended the Oakland Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her sister Glenda Barrand Smith; her brother Gary Tyrone Barrand II; and her nephew John Allen Adams.
She is survived by a son, Benjamin E. Hardesty of Topeka; four daughters, Jessica Fultz of Topeka, Christina Ann Blevins of Topeka, Crystal Barrand of Topeka and Loura Barrand of Baltimore, MD; her sisters, Tracy Thacker of Belton, Mo. and Faye Heise in Florida; two nieces Eva Bassett and Nicole Barrand; and 10 grandchildren.
Memorial services are pending for a later date. Inurnment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Topeka.
