Thelma M. Shubkagel

Thelma M. Shubkagel, age 96, of Topeka, went to be with her Lord Sunday, January 24, 2016 at her home in Topeka. Thelma was born March 23, 1919 in Silver Lake, KS the daughter of George Carl and Emma Stovall Ausherman. She graduated from Seaman Rural High School in 1937. She married Harry Shubkagel January 2, 1945 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He preceded her in death June 4, 2004. Thelma was a member of the Elmont United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, June (Michael) Glasgow; a son, Rex Shubkagel; two sisters, Mary Yoder and Grace Runkle; two grandchildren, Heidi (Glasgow) Gisi, Isaac (Sarah) Glasgow and two great granddaughters, Tabitha and Lucille. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Ausherman and a sister, Hazel Fussenegger.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before services at 10:00 a.m. Friday. Private inurnment will be at the Prairie Home Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Saturday.
