Darlene May Bachman

Darlene May Bachman, 88, of Topeka, passed away peacefully January 21, 2016 at Midland Hospice. Darlene was born on September 5, 1927, the daughter of Homer Allen Horn and Pearl L. Holliday. She graduated from Hiawatha and then attended Washburn University. She worked at Hallmark Cards for one year, and then was a homemaker for the rest of her life. She met Earl M. Bachman, where they later married November 4, 1949 in Topeka at First Christian Church. He preceded her in death May of 2007. Darlene is survived by a son, Dennis E. Bachman (Nancy), and a daughter Kathleen M. Bogina (David), both of Topeka as well as 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Following her wishes, Darlene was cremated. A memorial service will be held by her family at a later date.
