Robert "Bob" Lee Blevins

Robert “Bob” Lee Blevins Sr., age 78, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Midland Hospice House. Bob was born May 29, 1937 in Topeka the son of Albert and Fay Gish Blevins. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1955. He married Cathy Skaggs, they later divorced but remained very close. He married Pat Humble. She passed away December 31, 2005. He served in the U.S. Marines. He owned and operated a Fina gas station at 17th & Fairlawn for several years. He then served with the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve. Bob was preceded in death by a son, Billy Blevins January 14, 2014; a grandson, Brandon Blevins March 23, 2009; six brothers and three sisters. He is survived by three sons, Randy Blevins of Pasadena, CA, Robert “Bob” Blevins Jr. and Donny Blevins of Topeka; two daughters, Debbie Stuart of Topeka and Sandy McGee of Kansas City, Kansas; two step sons, Russell and Rodney Lutz of Topeka; two step daughters, Rhonda and Rochelle Lutz of Topeka; a sister, Virginia Haslett of Topeka; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. He will lie in state Wednesday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
