Dorene Michael

Dorene M. Michael, 92, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at her home in Topeka. She was born January 2, 1923 in Topeka the daughter of Fred L. and Etta Higgins Spencer. Dorene worked for many years at Hallmark Publishing. She was married Harold L. Michael on September 5, 1942. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1994. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Topeka.
Dorene was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Frickey in 1992.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Lynette Kauffman of Topeka; and two nieces, Karen Smith and Rita McCart.
According to Mrs. Michael’s wishes cremation is planned. The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm Tuesday evening, November 24th at Grace Baptist Church, 1110 NE Michigan, Topeka, KS 66616. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church, Midland Hospice or to the Helping Hands Humane Society in care of Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N Kansas Ave, Topeka, Kansas 66608.
