Mary Alice Warfel Boltz, 92, of Topeka passed away on Monday November 16, 2015. She was born May 28, 1923 the youngest of six children to John G. and Cora E. (Hall) Warfel at Morrill, Kansas. She graduated from high school at Sabetha in 1941. She later attended art school in Texas in the 1970’s. She was a homemaker, restaurant owner/cook, and seamstress. Mary had been a member of Westside Christian church in Topeka since 1966. She was the communicator of family news, loved to crack walnuts, baking bread, sewing, dancing, canning and conversation. She was married to Perry Clinton Boltz. They later divorced, and he precedes her in death.
She is survived by four children; Joan Elaine, Roger Michael, Jon Patric, and Dennis Eugene; grandchildren, Alicia, Brenda, Aaron, Geoffrey, Daniel, Clayton, Mary and Benjamin; great-grandchildren, River, Michaela, Bowan, Aneesa, Logan, Amira, Cambria, Randy, Corbin; great-great-grandchild, Alea; her sister, Sarah Frances Warfel Belcher Whitehead; step-son, Greg Boltz; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jacob; siblings, Louis Ross, Leona, Oscar Clemton and Ida Maude; and step-children, Marceta and Richard.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be held later at the Morrill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westside Christian Church in care of Davidson Funeral Home.
