Jose Angel Marquez

Jose Angel Marquez, 83, of Topeka, passed away on October 21, 2015. He was born January 1, 1932 in Guerrero, Chihuaha, Mexico the son of Thomas and Rita Dominguez Marquez. Jose had lived in Kansas since 1980. He worked at IBP and High Plains Packing Houses in western Kansas in the Dodge City area before coming to Topeka in 1998. He was a member of Ebenezer Evangelical Church in Topeka. He enjoyed listening to music and spent a lot of time in prayer with the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Paulina Marquez; children, Miguel Marquez, Martin Marquez, Louis Marquez, Carmen Martinez, Raquel Bautista, Maria Flores, Eva Marquez, Alberto Marquez and Salvador Marquez; siblings, Lupe Marquez and Eva Marquez; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son Ricardo Avila Marquez and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, October 26th at Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be in Rochester Cemetery in Topeka. Mr. Marquez will lie in state from 1-6 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
