Paul Pete Chilton

Paul “Pete” Chilton, age 84 of Topeka passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015. Pete was born August 21, 1931 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Pete graduated from Hiawatha High School in 1949. Pete married Rosalyn Moser August 26, 1951 in Hiawatha. She preceded him in death July 22, 2014. Pete and Rosie moved to Topeka in the early 50`s where they continued to reside. Pete worked at Foremost Foods for 28 years. He later worked for Strathman Sales Company. He served on the Shawnee County Civil Defense Dive Team. He was a member of the Arab Shriner Temple and the Golden Rule #90 AFAM York Rite. Survivors include his children, Kirby (Patty) Chilton; Cathy (Jim) Darnall; John (Vicki) Chilton; grandchildren, Johnny Chilton, Brian Chilton, Angie (Mike) Kolich and Kayce (Brian) Anderson; great grandchildren, Paige, Jordan, Charlotte Chilton and Austin Kolich.
Private family graveside services will be Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Rochester Cemetery. Bring your stories and be prepared to share at a memorial services at a later date next month.
