Fern D. Spaulding

Fern D. Spaulding, age 86, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Midland Hospice House. Fern was born September 7, 1928 in Westmorland, Kansas the daughter of Cloyde and Rose Goodman Henderson. She married Nelson Spaulding November 9, 1946 in Oskaloosa. She worked as a secretary for the Seaman School Superintendent office. Her and Nelson previously attended Oakland Christian church and recently were members of the Trinity Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Nelson LeRoy Spaulding in 2006. She is survived by her husband, Nelson of over 68 years; a daughter, Deborah Harris of Topeka; a sister, Carolyn Kinion of Tecumseh; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Presbyterian Church. She will lie in state Tuesday from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a visitation from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Penwell Gable Cemetery.
