George Jerry Kincaid, aka the “flying saucer man”, age 79 of Topeka passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Topeka V.A. Hospital. He was born June 28, 1936 at Climax Springs, Missouri the son of Henry Kincaid and Annie Stapleton Kincaid. He graduated from Centralia High School. After graduation, he lived in Topeka where he worked at the Hill Café and The Print Shop. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as a paratrooper. He worked in California at the McDonald Douglas Aircraft and at L.A.X Airport till late 1957 when he returned to Kansas. He worked as a draftsman. He also worked as a radio d.j. for KTOP radio in Topeka. George enjoyed science and had worked on a flying saucer UFO for over 10 years. He even wrote a book. He was married Amy Isabel Bennett. They had four children, Alan , Mamie Ann, Teresa and Charles Anthony. They later divorced. He was married Dorothy Darlene Neely. They had four children, George Jerry II, Shawn, Patricia and Victoria. They later divorced. He was preceded in death by two sons, Alan and George Kincaid and a daughter, Meme Ann Kincaid. He is survived by two sons, Shawn Kincaid of Topeka and Tony Kincaid of Georgia; three daughters, Patricia Soto and Victoria Fly both of Topeka and Teresa Kincaid of Missouri; a sister, Peggy Hobert of Cherryvale, Kansas along with several grandchildren. Memorial services will be Friday, July 24, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at the Leavenworth National Cemetery at a later date.
