Alta May Rutledge

Alta May Rutledge, age 92, formerly of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in Fullerton, California where she was living to be near her daughter, Wanda. Alta was born December 21, 1922 in Belvue, Kansas the daughter of Lewis Tyler and Alice Shumaker Tyer. Alta worked at the Topeka State Hospital for several years as a nurse aid. She married Floyd McDaniel. Two daughters were born to this union. They later divorced. She married David L. Rutledge. He preceded her in death. Alta is survived by a daughter, Wanda Wallace of Aneheim, California.
Memorial graveside services will be Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Davidson Funeral Home is in charge of services.
