Alvin E. Tyner

Alvin E. Tyner, 77, of Topeka passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in Topeka. Alvin was born April 8, 1938 at Topeka one of six children born to Morris and Beulah Graham Tyner. Alvin enjoyed genealogy and was a member of the Topeka Genealogy Society. He was also a member of First Assembly of God for many years.
Survivors include: a daughter, Pamela L. Tyner of Topeka; son, Ronald L.Tyner and wife Dana of Topeka and their child LaManda Tyner of Topeka; one brother, Darrell Tyner of Auburn; his sister, Marjene Bleier of Holton. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Josephine and Charles.
He was married to Carol Berends on April 11, 1959 at Cedar Valley Baptist Church in the Homestead Community in Chase County. She preceded him in death in 2003 .
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God in Topeka. He will lie in state Friday from noon – 5:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Homestead Cemetery near Clements in Chase County. Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka Rescue Mission and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
