Margaret M. Carey

Margaret Marie Carey, 67, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015. She was born October 13, 1947 at Topeka the daughter of John and Katherine (Johnson) Bicknell. She graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1965. Margaret was a tax examiner for the Department of Revenue, State of Kansas, before retiring.
She married Arthur O. Carey, Jr. on May 30, 1986 in Topeka.
Survivors include: her husband, Arthur, “Butch” Carey of Topeka; sons, Kip Stevenson of Topeka, Tim Carey of Topeka and his wife Carrie; daughters, Sherri L. DeLong of Kansas City, MO, and Krista Carey of Topeka; sister, Janet Doors of Lawrence, Ks.; grandchildren, Zackery Webber, Wyatt Carey, J.W. DeLong, Cole DeLong and James DeLong; Amber Carey, Cheyenne DeLong and Becky Bickel; and a great-granddaughter Vanessa Cole.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Davidson Funeral Home. Graveside committal services will follow at Topeka Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
