Raymond B. Avila

Raymond B. Avila III, 46, of Topeka passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015. Raymond was born February 25, 1968 in Topeka. He attended Hudson Elementary School and later graduated from Highland Park High School in 1987. Raymond loved to hunt, especially along the Kansas River for ducks and geese. He loved is lab, Taz. He also enjoyed spending as much time as he could and doing everything an uncle can do with Madisen and Garrett. They were very important in his life.
Mr. Avila is survived by his mother and step-father, “Lou” and Jim Kuhn of Topeka and his father, Raymond B. Avila, Jr. and his wife Sheri of Silver Lake; sister, Cindy Evans and husband Keith of Topeka; and his niece and nephew, Madisen and Garrett Evans.
Raymond was preceded in death by his friend and hunting companion, Taz, his black Lab.
A memorial service for Raymond will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Davidson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from noon to 1:00 Thursday prior to the memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice in care of the funeral home.
