Donna Kay Hutchens

Donna K. Hutchens, age 72 of Topeka passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. Donna was born December 16, 1942 in Dixon, Illinois the daughter of Julius Carey and Edna Price Carey. She married John Hutchens January 10, 1960 in Topeka. She worked as a Paraprofessional for School district 501 in Topeka. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Topeka.
She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Jayden Buckhalter in 2012. She is survived by her husband John of over 55 years; three daughters, Delcinea Shamburg (Mark), Edna Kruger (Jerry) and Tammy Hutchens, all of Topeka; and a brother, Dale Carey (Brenda) of Topeka; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3611 SW Jewell. She will lie in state Tuesday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Rochester Cemetery.
