Lucille E. Rice

Lucille E. Rice, age 77 of Topeka passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Plaza West Care Home in Topeka where she received love and care. Lucille was born December 10, 1937 in Topeka the daughter of William Prichard and Floy Yearling Prichard. She married Bobb Rice December 28, 1958 in Topeka. She worked for American Bindery in Topeka. Lucille enjoyed traveling to Newberg, Missouri, Ponder, Texas, New Mexico and Colorado with the family. She also enjoyed her dogs, cookbooks and gardening.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jess Heithaus. She is survived by her husband, Bobb of over 56 years; two daughters, Rebecca (Albert) Rice-Petrusky of Ponder, TX and Sandra Sue Rice-Heithaus of Topeka; a brother, Bill Prichard of Topeka; three grandchildren, Nichole Petrusky Miller, Brandy LeAnn Petrusky and Albert Anthony Layton Petrusky; two step-grandchildren, Jamie Heithaus and Jennifer Heithaus; a great-grandson, Conner Miller and a step-great granddaughter, Sydney Heithaus.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. She will lie in state Tuesday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Prairie Home Cemetery.
