Daniel Paul Metzger

Daniel Paul Metzger, 60, formerly of Topeka passed away on December 24, 2014 under hospice care in Selmer, TN. He was born August 5, 1954 in Topeka the son of Paul Wesley “Pete” and Arlene Evelyn Smith Metzger. Danny grew up in Topeka, was a member of Boy Scout Troop #30 and attended Seaman Schools. He was self-employed.
Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene; and his sister, Ginger Metzger-Jackson.
Survivors include his father Paul “Pete” Metzger; his sister, Cindy Wall and her husband Larry; nephew, Bill Wall and his wife Amanda; nieces, Becky True and her husband Travis and Crystal Loethen and her husband Joe; three great-nieces and three great-nephews all of Topeka.
Dan was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Seaman Community Church, 2036 NW Taylor, Topeka, Kansas 66608. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Tuesday prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Seaman Community Church and sent in care of Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N Kansas Ave. in Topeka, who is assisting the family.
