Susan Martinez Guerra

Susan I. Martinez Guerra, age 51, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 in Topeka. She was born July 22, 1963 in Topeka the daughter of Raymond Martinez and Teresa Lucero Martinez. She graduated from Topeka High School and Washburn University. She worked for Topeka Independent Living. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Topeka. She married Richard King. He preceded her in death September 17, 2003. Preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Martinez and a sister, Estefana Eutsler. She married Francisco Guerra. Survivors include her husband Francisco Guerra of Topeka; her mother, Teresa Espinoza of Ordway, Colorado; her four daughters, Susan King of Topeka, Theresa Estrada of El Paso, Texas, Ricki King and Beatrice King, both of Topeka; three brothers, Raymond Martinez, Steven Martinez and Davy Martinez all of Topeka; a sister, Anna Martinez of Topeka and eight grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, January 9, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She will lie in state Thursday from noon – 8:30 with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. with visitation to follow.
