Terry Lee Steele

Terry passed peacefully in his sleep at Midland Hospice house. He was born in Neodesha, Ks to Virgil Steele and Dora Mae (Ragan) Steele. He spent his childhood in Neodesha with his much loved grandparents and sisters Lois Marie Steele, Linda Croughn and his brother Charlie Hixon III. Terry is preceeded in death by his parents Virgil Steele, father, Dora Mae Hixon, mother, Charlie Hixon Jr. stepfather, and his daughter Brandi Floe.
He graduated form Neodesha High School in 1963 and moved to Topeka to attend Capital City Barber College. After a long career in barbering Terry went on to work for the Topeka Capital Journal.
He spent many of his early days enjoying his motorcycle, watching football, especially the K.C. Chiefs. Beyond anything else he loved providing for and spending quality time with his family. Occasionally breaking into a verse of Old Dan Tucker for "the kids"! Terry was very proud of his family deeply devoted to his christian faith.
He is survived by his wife Judy Miller, his daughters Bobbi Jo (Doug), Teryl, Angel, Terry Lee, Judy Ann and his son Jody. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters Lois Marie Steele, Linda Croughn, brother Charlie Hixon III and and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service is scheduled Wednesday 26, 11:00 a.m. at the Rochester Cemetry. Donations may be made online to midlandcareconnection.org
