Robert Bob Bennett

Robert “Bob” Bennett, age 71, of Topeka, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 at his home in Topeka. Bob was born December 29, 1942 in Topeka the son of Leonard Bennett Sr. and Pauline Burghart Bennett. He graduated from Hayden High School. He married Shirley Gilbert in 1969. Bob worked construction all his life. He is survived by wife, Shirley Bennett of Topeka; his half mother, Diann Bennett Moore of Topeka; two sons, Robbie (Shelly) Pfeffer and Ryan (Leslie) Bennett, both of Topeka; two daughters, Sandy Whitcomb of Topeka and Shelly (Greg) Cunningham of Mayetta; a sister, Lisa Markle of Fairfield, OH; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Bob loved hunting, fishing, gardening and fixing things. The most important thing in Bob’s life was his kids and his wife.
Graveside services will be Friday, November 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Prairie Home Cemetery. He will lie in state Thursday from noon – 9:00 p.m. with visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Davidson Funeral Home to assist with the funeral cost.
