Jodi E. Peet

Jodi E. Peet, age 64, of Topeka passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at Midland Hospice Care in Topeka. Jodi was born January 30, 1950 in Topeka the daughter of Roy Leonard Nelson and Helen Louise Myers. She grew up in Topeka, graduating from Highland Park High in 1968.She was first married to Paul Daugherty, they divorced. She married Jimmy Peet August 19, 1988. She worked for Shawnee County Treasurers Office, the Shawnee Counties Sherriff office, USD #501 as a Paraprofessional and then owned and operated Jodis Heart of Flowers, retiring in 2004. Jodi was an avid K.U. Basketball and Chiefs Football fan.

She is survived by her father, Roy L. Nelson of Topeka; her husband, Jimmy Peet of Topeka; three sons, Michael Paul Daugherty of Topeka, Thad Nelson Daugherty of Oviedo, FL and Aaron Peet of Topeka; 5 grandchildren, Lacy Weber, Hanna Daugherty, Hayli Daugherty, Ronin Daugherty, Lyla Daugherty and one great grandson, Preston Weber; aunt, Velva Gray of Lisbon, Maine

Memorial services will be held at the Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene, Saturday September 20, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.
Inurnment will be at the Penwell Gable Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
