Charles T. Hazlett

Charles T. Hazlett peacefully passed away on August 13, 2014 at Legacy Convalescent Center in Topeka.
Charles was born in Americus, Kansas on April 20, 1926 to Leo and Bessie Farmer Hazlett. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a truck driver most of his life. He loved the old-time western and gospel music and loved to sing and whistle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother.
Survivors include his long-time friend, Betty King, two daughters, Judith and Debra, one granddaughter and one grandson. A sister, Bonnie Carleno and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services and military honors will be held at the Hartford Cemetery at 10:30 am, August 23, 2014. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Hartford Cemetery Association or to the Americus Alumni Association in care of Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka.
