November 25, 1931 — July 22, 2014

Rosalyn (Rosie) Loree Moser Chilton, 82 of Topeka passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014.
Rosie was born November 25, 1931 to Andrew and Mabel (Sadler) Moser in Oneida, Kansas. Married Paul Chilton August 26, 1951 in Hiawatha. Rosie and Pete moved to Topeka in the early 50’s where he continues to reside.
Survivors include: Her children, Kirby and (Patty) Chilton, Cathy (Jim) Darnall, John (Vicki) Chilton. Her grandchildren Johnny Chilton, Brian Chilton, Angie (Mike) Kolich, and Kayce (Brian) Anderson. Her great grandchildren Paige, Jordan, Charlotte Chilton and Austin Kolich. She is also survived by her sister Lois Bowen and many nieces and nephews.
Rosie was a loving Christian women who was a long time member of Northland Christian Church. There she taught a two year old Sunday school class for over 20 years and rocked babies in the nursery for several more years. She was also a member of the Lite Bite kitchen crew.
Rosie was also a member of the Topeka Chapter of Eastern Star and Social Order of Beauceant. She held several offices in the Topeka chapter of the Beauceant including president but most recent being the Chaplain. She also held National offices.
Rosie loved the outdoors, flowers, trees, birds, and all of Gods creations. Her hobbies included knitting hats and dishcloths and serving others.
Rosie called over 270 people each year to sing happy birthday and happy anniversary to them. This gave her friends and family something to remember her by and look forward to. Many people told her how it made their day and made them smile. She always prayed for others and wanted her family and friends happy.
Rosie will lie in state Thursday July 24, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home from 12 to 5 pm. A visitation will be held at Northland Christian Church Thursday July 24, 2014 from 6 to 8. Funeral will be held at Northland Christian Church Friday July 25, 2014 at 10. She will be laid to rest at Rochester Cemetery.
