Jeannine H. Reed

Jeannine H. Reed, age 80, of Topeka passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 at her home in Topeka. Jeannine was born January 22, 1934 in Lincoln, Nebraska the daughter of Eugene and Pearl Lamb Boudeman. Jeannine graduated from Council Grove High School in 1952 and attended Brown-Mackie Business College in Salina. She married Elvin Reed March 7, 1959 in Council Grove, KS. She worked for the Kansas State Corporation Commission in Topeka from 1956 to 1959. She was a very active member of the Kansas Avenue United Methodist Church where she was active with the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Topeka and Lawrence Antique Auto Club of America. Elvin and Jeannine were also active with Papan’s Landing for over 28 years.
Jeannine leaves to cherish her memories her husband Elvin Reed of over 55 years; 2 sons, Thomas Reed and David Reed; two daughters, Pearl Reed and Mary Reed; 2 grandchildren, Colby and Robert Reed; 2 step grandchildren, Kolby and Kelsey Clements and one great granddaughter; all of Topeka.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. She will lie in state Monday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Rochester Cemetery.
