Joanne H. Blake

Joanne H. Blake, age 83, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at her home at Rollings Hills Assisted Living. Joanne was born January 19, 1931 in Nowata, OK the daughter of Katherine N. Hearn and Felix T. Holt. She received a masters degree from Baylor University and specialized in Therapy Speech and Hearing where she worked for Topeka USD 501 and Emporia College. She married Robert D. Blake June 16, 1962 in Topeka. He preceded her in death December 26, 2008.
She is survived by 2 sons, Jon (Tammy) K. Blake and Ken Blake, both of Topeka; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Memorial services are pending for next week... at the First Presbyterian Church in Topeka. The Blake family is very grateful for the compassionate care provided by RHAL and Grace Hospice to our beloved “GAN”. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice Care and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. Davidson Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
