Mary H. Hopkins

Mary Hannah Hopkins, died June 13, 2014 in Topeka, Kansas. Mary was born December 19, 1924 near Alta Vista, the daughter of Orville and Agnes McDiffett MacArthur. Mary was a graduate of Alta Vista High School. She married Lawrence E. Hopkins on November 18, 1944 in Topeka. Lawrence and Mary lived in Topeka since that time. Mary was a charter member of Grace Bible Church in Topeka.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence; their son Michael Ray Hopkins; and sister Ruth Smith of Richland KS. Survivors are two sons Gary Hopkins and wife Corinne of Bluff Dale, TX, Mark Hopkins and wife Jayne of Linwood, KS, and daughter Becky Streeter of Topeka. Mary has six grandchildren, Chris Hopkins, Matthew and John Hopkins, Jessica, Lauren and James Streeter and three great-grand daughters. She also has two brothers Bruce MacArthur of Topeka, and John MacArthur and wife Kathy of Vassar, KS.
Funeral services will be held at Davidson Funeral Home Tuesday, June 17th at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Welcome Cemetery north of Alta Vista, KS in Geary County. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8pm Monday evening at Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice in care of the funeral Home.
