Leatha Rose (Glenn) Cook, 103, of Topeka passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. She was born January 26, 1911 in Lecompton, Kansas the daughter of Clarence and Emma Glenn. She spent her childhood in Lecompton, KS where she attended a one room school house. She retired from Stormont-Vail Hospital.
Leatha was married to Claude Cook, who preceded her in death in 1961. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Glenn, Dale Glenn and Clarence Glenn, Jr.; two sisters, Mary French and Hazel Barber; two sons, Leo and Edward Cook and one grandson Kurt Eberhart.
Survivors include one sister, Genena Swanson; two sons, Richard Cook and Virgil Cook, Sr.; one daughter, Phyllis (Charles) Eberhart; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Mount Hope Cemetery Mausoleum. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. She will lie in state Friday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.
