William Gappa

William C. Gappa, 67, of Topeka passed away on May 27, 2014. He was born October 29, 1946 in Topeka the son of Clemence and Mary Crim Gappa. William graduated from Topeka High. He worked at various restaurant’s in Topeka. He loved spending time with his family, drawing, and had a great knowledge of cars and loved spotting different makes and models. He always wanted to make other people happy and enjoyed making folks smile.
He is survived by his siblings, Bonnie Boggs and her husband Carl of Topeka, Christy Gappa in the Dallas, Mary Jean Bell of Wichita, Ronnie Gappa of Topeka and Theresa Hurla of Topeka; and many nieces and nephews including Samantha Charay and husband Jay of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Jamie Bell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10-11 Monday morning prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held later at the family plot at Osage City. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Lung Association, Midland Hospice or NAMI.
