Gary Lee Ray

Gary Lee Ray, age 66 of Topeka passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Gary was born July 11, 1947 in Topeka the son of Fred and Marion Cloud Ray. Gary graduated from Topeka High School in 1966 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served in the Vietnam war until 1972 where he received the Bronze Star.
He worked as a tow truck driver in Topeka for several years.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #400, the Phillip Billard V.F.W. Post #1650 and ABATE of Kansas.
He is survived by a daughter, Deanna Ray-Morales (Artemas) of Belcourt, ND; four brothers, Kenny Ray, Mike Ray, Dick Meyer and Steve Ray and a granddaughter, Alexis.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday June 7, 2014 at VFW 1650 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Davidson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
