Ladonna L. Bailey

LaDonna L. Bailey, 59, of Topeka passed away on April 22, 2014 at the Kansas University Hospital.   She was born February 27, 1955 in Coffeyville the daughter of Maxy and Martha (Cease) McKellips. She was raised at Coffeyville and attended school there.   She worked for over 20 years at Emerson Electric and later at Frito Lay in Topeka for 14 years.   LaDonna loved to sew, cook, fish, holiday gatherings where all the family was together and to have slumber parties with her grandkids.   On January 10, 2002 she was married to Curtis Bailey in Topeka.

Survivors include her husband Curtis of Topeka; her children, Marci Lynch (Tim) of Topeka, Dustin Meza (Kara) of Overland Park, Karri Rose (Eric) of Topeka, Jeremy Bailey of Topeka, Crystal Chambers (Antwon) of Topeka, Megan Butler (Justin) of Topeka and Brian Bailey (Stephanie) of Topeka; siblings, Paulette Brown of Merriam, Kansas, Richard McKellips (Cassandra) of Manhattan, Jana Kastler (Clint) of Coffeyville, Linda Ballard (Mike) of Wichita and Fonda Vaughn (Jim) of Wichita; step mother, Joyce McKellips of Coffeyville; her sister-in-law, Carol McKellips; 14 grandchildren also survive.

Others preceding her in death are her parents, Maxy and Martha McKellips and her brother, David McKellips.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday, April 25 ^th at Davidson Funeral Home.   Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 26th at the Harrisonville Cemetery southwest of Independence, Kansas. Mrs. Bailey will lie in state from 12-9 pm on Thursday April 24 at Davidson’s where the family will receive friends from 7:30 pm until 9:00 pm.   Memorial contributions may be made to the LaDonna L.
