Jason D. Pisocki, 41, and Emma Jo Pisocki, 18, passed away in a two vehicle accident near Bennington, Kansas on Friday, April 11. Jason was born February 15, 1973 in Topeka to Bohdan “Mike” Pisocki and Linda (Durbin) Pisocki. Jason graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1991. He married the love of his life Candy (Cameron) Pisocki on December 29, 1993. Jason worked as a Service Technician for over 15 years for Lindy Springs in Topeka. The past three years he worked as a Water Treatment Division Manager for McElroy’s in Topeka. Jason was also a firefighter and EMT for Soldier Township Fire Department for the past five years. While on the department he received many awards and accolades such as Rookie of the Year, Firefighter of the Year and an Angel Award.
Jason and Candy have three children, Molly, Emma and Ben. Other family members he left to cherish his memory are his parents, Mike and Linda, brother, Michael Pisocki and sister, Lisa McCary.
Emma Jo Pisocki was born February 7, 1996 in Topeka to Jason and Candy Pisocki. Emma was a senior at Seaman High School and was attending an EMT class at Washburn Tech. Emma was the current Chief of the Explorer Program at the Soldier Township Fire Department, which she has been involved in for the past four years. While a student at Seaman High School, she has helped build three houses for Habitat for Humanity and was Vice-President of the book club. She had great aspirations to become a firefighter and fight fires alongside her father.
Memorial services for Jason and Emma will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Northland Christian Church. Inurement will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday evening at Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Pisocki Memorial Fund in care of Quest Credit Union.
