Matthew Scott Miller, age 34, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 after a brave battle with cancer. He was born May 17, 1979 in Topeka the son of David and Emily Fortner Miller. He graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1997. He graduated with a bachelors degree and later with a MBA degree from Friends University. Matthew formerly worked at the Topeka Harley Davidson Shop for 15 years. He currently worked for the State of Kansas as an Auditor. He married Heather Trinkle June 23, 2007 in McLouth, KS. He was a member of the Imago Dei Church in Topeka. He was active with the Topeka Adult Hockey League, racing motorcycles and was a musician.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Trinkle-Miller of Topeka; parents, David and Emily Miller of Silver Lake; a brother, Richa rd (Mollie) Miller of Topeka along with their 4 children; a sister, Amanda Miller of Silver Lake, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Topeka Harley Davidson, 2047 SW Topeka Blvd. A reception will follow the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cotton O’Neil Cancer Center and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.Visits: 0
