Brad Nelson

Bradley “Brad” Rolland Nelson, 64, of Topeka, passed away on March 30, 2014. He was born November 24, 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Rolland (dec) and Betty (Bengtson) Nelson. He married Ronda (Ginder) Nelson on March 3, 1973, she survives.

Brad loved his Minnesota vacations, crappie fishing, and the University of Kansas. Brad’s customers at the Gas and Shop meant the world to him, he loved serving them all for the past 40 plus years that he co-owned and operated it. To honor his love for the Jayhawks, and to send him to Heaven in Rock-Chalk style, everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite crimson and blue.

Survivors include his mom, his wife, his children, Brandon (Allison) Nelson and Brooks (Cassi) Nelson, sister Cindy (Dr. Michael) Giessel, and 6 grandchildren; Aspen, Sierra, Savannah, Corbin, Tagen, and Tinsley.

Per his wishes Brad was cremated. The family will greet friends at Davidson Funeral Home on Wednesday April 2 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:30 AM at Seaman Congregational Church . Donations can be made to Seaman Congregational Church or Grace Hospice.
