Mary Louise Schafer

Mary L. Schafer, age 88, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday morning, March 5, 2014 at her home at Aldersgate Village in Topeka. Mary was born May 22, 1925 in Columbia, Missouri the daughter of John Wyatt and Ellen Duncan Wyatt. She married William F. Schafer December 4, 1944 in Stafford, KS. He preceded her in death on Valentines Day in 1984. Mary had attended West Side Baptist Church when in Hutchison. She is survived by two children, John (JoAnne) Schafer of Nixa, Missouri; a daughter, Cindy (James) Murrow of Topeka; 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 a 12:00 noon at the Arlington Cemetery in Arlington, KS. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association. Online condolences may be made at davidsonfuneral.com
