Charles E. Parkhurst

Charles E. Parkhurst, age 68, of Topeka, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 in Topeka. He was born November 7, 1945 in Topeka the son of Fred and Vera Lang Parkhurst. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1964. Charlie worked for Petro’s for over 25 years and later retired from Frito Lay in Topeka. Charlie married Nancy Meyer and they later divorced. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Parkhurst and his mother Vera Trout; a brother, Freddy Parkhurst and a sister, Beverly Harrop. He is survived by two sons, Paul Parkhurst and Bobby (Lisa) Parkhurst, both of Topeka and 4 grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, Riley and Aariana. Charlie will always be remembered for his loving personality and kind heart. He enjoyed fishing, bowling , hot rods and KU basketball. He was a member of the Ol’ Buzzards Car Club.
