Carl "Scrapper" Haynes

Carl J. Haynes, “Scrapper”, 58, of Topeka passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014 at his home. He was born October 7, 1955 in Topeka the son of Ervin and Nanette (Peterson) Haynes. While growing up, he was a scout and achieved one of scouting’s highest awards, Eagle Scout. “Scrapper” graduated from Topeka High School in 1973. He worked at Hallmark Cards for a while before becoming a locksmith. Mr. Haynes owned and operated All City Locksmith from 1985 until 2012. “Scrapper” loved his motorcycle and spent a lot of time riding.
He is survived by his son Jesse Haynes and Jesse’s girlfriend, Nicole Kitzman; two grandchildren, Zoe and Aaron; his caregiver, Patricia who he married in September of 1985 and later divorced. They remained friends and was there for him until his passing. His brother, David Haynes and wife Diane of St. Marys, KS also survives.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7-8 pm Monday evening at Davidson Funeral Home.
