Carlene Snyder

Carlene L. Snyder, age 73, of Topeka passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at a Topeka hospital. Carlene was born July 12, 1940 in Lyndon, KS the daughter of Clayton and Cecilia Stanton Beatty. She graduated from Lyndon High School. She married Gerald Snyder June 12, 1960 in Lyndon. He preceded her in death January 19, 2001. Carlene worked at Woolworth Department Store in Topeka. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee Snyder September of 2013. She is survived by a son, Jerry (Kathy) Lee Snyder of Denver; a daughter, Debbie (Jim) Bays of Maple Hill, KS; a brother, Cecil Beatty of Ottawa; a sister, Margaret Anderson of Ottawa; 5 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Visitation will follow the services at the funeral parlor. She will lie in state Friday from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Interment at the Lyndon Cemetery will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Davidson Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
