Betty J. Mccall

Betty J. McCall, age 91, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Midland Hospice Care. Betty was born February 26, 1922 in Perry, KS the daughter of Norris McCall and Ada Younkin McCall. Betty attended Meriden schools. She worked at F.W. Woolworth Co. in Topeka for over 35 years, retiring in 1984. She loved gardening, working outdoors and sewing. Her hobbies were making Barbie and Ken doll clothes. They were displayed at Craft E Crafters in North Topeka. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Marlin McCall Jr. She is survived by a son, Marlin McCall Sr. (Darlene) of Topeka; a brother, Keith McCall of Topeka; a granddaughter, Kim (Steve) Brink of Tecumseh; a grandson, Kerry (Joan) McCall of Duluth, MN; 5 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 3, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Highland Park United Methodist Church. Visitation will be one hour before the services at the church Friday. She will lie in state Thursday from noon – 5:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Meriden Cemetery.
