Jimmie D. Clark

Jimmie Donald Clark, 72, of Topeka passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at his home. He was born August 7, 1941 in Marshall, Mo the son of Harvey and Ruth (Foree) Clark. Jim was raised in Duncan and Safford, AZ. He was a currier for Brinks Armored Car Service before retiring. He worked for Shawnee County Parks and Rec Department as a groundskeeper after retiring. He enjoyed taking care of his home and yard.
He was married Aug. 17, 1996 in Duncan, AZ to Dottie. She survives at their home in Topeka. Other survivors include his children, Tammy McGhee of Topeka, Terry Crain of Topeka, Troy Clark of Lecompton, Carolyn Newton of Grants, New Mexico, Chris Hendrix of Topeka, Aaron Clark of Fountain, Colorado, Kami Meyer of Winchester, KS, and Trisha Rees of Winchester, Kansas; his brothers, Clyde Clark of Mountain Home, Mo and Lester Clark of Duncan AZ; one sister, Betty Flowers of Topeka; 16 grandchildren, Tory, Loretta, Elizabeth, Christopher, Michael, Austin, Alexis, Christopher, Hailey, Shavon, Marcus, Samantha, Joshua, Hayden, Tristen and Blaine; 15 great-grandchildren, Dakota, Megan, Britney, Michelle, Isiah, Isabelle, Dante, Atreyu, Timothy, Jacob, Jacob, Alana Trinity, Keavin and Alyssa.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Brian Shane Clark, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, Nov. 20th at St. David’s Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Rochester Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday evening at the Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion, Capital Post #1 in care of the funeral home.
