Edward Ronald Whitlock Sr.

Edward Ronald G. Whitlock Sr., age 74, of Topeka passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at his home in Topeka. He was born June 7, 1939 in Topeka the son of Jack Oliver and Sarah Nancy Scott Oliver. He lived in Pampa, Texas for a few years before returning back to Topeka to settle. He worked at many places and many professions over the years. He is survived by his wife, Winette “Wendy” Whitlock; children, Melanie (Shaun Collins) Stewart, Edward Ron (Ashley N. Billings) Whitlock Jr, Pete Whitlock, Aaron (Beth Waddell) Whitlock, Crystal (Michael) Jackson, Georget (Jacob) Self and Desirea Burr; two sisters, Naomi and Sharon; grandchildren, Cody, Jessica, Billy, Karsyn, Kaitlyn, Peter, Ethan, Ryan, Alexander, Ashley, Samantha, Anthony, Elizabeth, Alexis, Jasmine, Dylan and Dealan and a great granddaughter, Katrina. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Scott, two sisters, Marie Wikle and Desdah Long, a brother, Earl B. Wikle Jr. and a granddaughter, Kimberly Burr.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Topeka Cemetery. He will lie in state Tuesday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 7:00 – 8:30 pm at the Davidson Funeral Home.
