Richard Werick

Richard “Ugly” Werick, 65 of Topeka passed away at his home on Sunday, September 29, 2013. He was born September 24, 1948 in Corpus Christi, Texas the son of Patrick and Angie (Prada) Werick. Mr. Werick worked many years as an iron worker. He helped build high rise apartment building and worked in oil refineries in Texas. He married Vickie in 1988 in Texas. Richard has lived in Topeka the past 12 years. “Ugly” loved spending time outside, which included barbequing with his family. He was very humorous and very family oriented. He was a great husband, dad and grandpa.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie of the home; his children, Dustin Werick, Kolby Werick, Quinton Werick, Jillian Werick, Kendra Werick, Jayme Broxterman, Kayla Schnegelsiepen and Mercedes Schnegelsiepen and three grandchildren, Aliza Schnegelsiepen, Addison Watts and Adalynn Nichols. He was preceded in death by Eunice Werick in 2007 and Kash Jones in 2013.
Richard was cremated. The family will receive friends from 3-9 on Thursday, Oct 10th at the family home at 302 SE Lime Street in Topeka.
